so... i finally got a haircut! (and a bunch of color! i guess it's not really ladylike to talk about my color... but i really like it, so bravo to the brave lady at the aveda school who was totally up for the challenge...) yay!
do you ever wonder, when you're in a public place and you hear a stranger's phone right, what possesses someone to choose a certain ringtone? it's something that constantly amuses (and, to some degree, baffles) me. it's something that makes train rides a little less dull, anyway. and there are lots of train rides lately...
for this year, i'm making a habit of commuting up to the labs several times a week to work (instead of going once-a-weekish, as i had been) and i have to say i'm rather enjoying it. for those who have never been, the labs are pretty fun. sometimes it's a little hard to get work done because it's easy to get distracted - i mean, i have some of the world's most awesome coworkers, so there's always someone fun to talk to, but there's also usually someone making something or running a workshop or filming or photographing or... well, it's all very etsy, so it's probably just what you'd expect, really. a little crazy, somewhat overwhelming and all incredibly interesting.
anyway. speaking of fun places to work, i'm also excited because my goal for next week is to join indyhall. finally. i've wanted to join for a while now, but i kept putting it off for a couple reasons (some reasons very valid, with some a little less valid and more plain old procrastination). so that's my goal, i'm pretty determined to do it, and hopefully announcing it here means i absolutely, positively have to do it and can't put it off any longer.
also, my ex finally started a blog (i nagged him about starting a blog for probably at least a year and a half, so i'm glad he finally got around to doing it). if anyone i know should have a blog, it's him, as he actually thinks, reads and talks about pretty interesting stuff on a regular basis. and he's a great writer, so you should add it to your google reader for definitely sure. autodidact.
this weekend, i'm hoping to finally print the new designs i mentioned some time ago here. which means also burning the screens with the new designs i mentioned. i've been intending to do this for quite some time, but it keeps getting put off and put off in lieu of doing work (gasp!). but this weekend it will get done! (but be sure to check back monday, when i'm sure i'll post 107 reasons why it didn't get done...)
