okay, so just over to the right, you may notice something new in the sidebar - a little sign up for getting girlscantell love letters! now you can join and i'll mail you one of little orphan annie's secret decoder rings and you can cuddle up next to the radio and listen for the next clue in helping to save little orphan annie, ralphie-style. (am i the only one that watches "a christmas story" about 600 times throughout novemeber and december, and sometimes january for good measure? i hope not.) only my messages will not be about drinking ovaltine.
anyway, there's never been a girlscantell mailing list before, so this is exciting to me, especially with all the good new news and stuff i have up my sleevies.
secondly, i hate to disappoint anyone in the philadelphia area who actually got up at 6:30am to watch me on the philadelphia fox morning show, but i wasn't on it today, it's been postponed. ooops.
when i was browsing the ICA's site this morning, i got a little excited because i thought for half a second that eileen neff was christine j. shanks, who was an etsy spotlight in the storque a couple weeks ago. i really like seeing who my coworkers find to feature (or who anyone finds to feature, for that matter) because as etsy grows (and, oh, gosh, is it growing) it's becoming easier to miss really amazing work if you're not paying attention. (hopefully that's the only sad thing about the site growing). i think the thing i like a lot about christine j. shanks is that taking photos out of moving car windows is something that i think every kid tries (or every kid who's bored in a backseat with a camera, i guess the little kids who watch dvd's on car trips now don't have this luxury) but shanks has not only perfected it, she's actually made it art, which is brilliant.
and, lastly, you all know about project rungay, right? okay. i just couldn't not mention the best PR blog ever. fabulous.
